Description

From the splendors of ancient Egypt, to the spectacular Greek and Roman Galleries, to the Met's beloved impressionist paintings, to contemporary works by today's leading artists, a world of art awaits you at The Metropolitan Museum of Art. The world-famous collection, plus more than 30 annual special exhibitions and an array of guided tours are all free with your admission.

The Met Audio Guide offers a low-cost option of more than 75 hours of informative audio commentary developed by the curators and educators. Audio programming is also available in eight languages: English, French, German, Italian, Spanish, Japanese, Mandarin, and Korean.

Enjoy evenings at the met, open until 9pm on Fridays and Saturdays with live music in the Balcony Bar and sophisticated dining in the Petrie Court Cafe and Wine Bar.

Admission to the Met includes same-day admission to The Cloisters Museum and Gardens, a branch of the Metropolitan Museum of Art in northern Manhattan's Fort Tryon Park devoted to the art, architecture, and gardens of medieval Europe.
